THE ROLE
As a critical member of our production team, you’ll be responsible for setting up and operating advanced CNC 3, 4, and 5-axis mills while maintaining our rigorous quality standards and production requirements.
Core Responsibilities
- Execute complex setups and operations on CNC 3, 4, and 5-axis mills
- Interpret and follow job routers, setup sheets, and work instructions with precision
- Read and apply manufacturing blueprints and technical drawings
- Conduct dimensional inspections using precision measurement equipment and document results
- Maintain organized and clean work environment adhering to 5S principles
- Collaborate with Engineering team to drive continuous improvement and resolve technical challenges
WHAT YOU BRING – Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on experience setting up and operating CNC mills (5-axis strongly preferred)
- Deep understanding of machine and controller functions
- Expert-level knowledge of GD&T principles per ANSI Y14.5 standard
- Proven competency machining aerospace materials including 2000, 6000, and 7000 series aluminum, 4340 steel, 17-4 stainless, and maraging steel
- Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills
- Strong technical math skills and problem-solving ability
- Excellent communication skills with ability to collaborate across teams
- Self-motivated professional with strong work ethic and reliability
- Familiarity with AS9100 quality management standards
- High school diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications (Stand Out from the Crowd)
- Experience with GibbsCAM programming software
- Experience with automation systems and multi-pallet cell operations
Physical Requirements
This position requires the ability to:
- Stand for extended periods and move throughout the production floor
- Lift and maneuver parts and tooling up to 40 pounds
- Work with cutting fluids, lubricants, and in moderate noise environments
